Whole Foods Headquarters

“It was great to have McCoy Rockford’s collaboration throughout the multi-year spec and design process. Supply chain issues forced us to reorder furniture, but McCoy Rockford worked hard to ensure everything arrived in time for employees to begin work at the office as planned. The results were well worth the effort, as this building is now the showcase of our campus.”

The Challenge

Seeking to create spaces that supported employees’ physical and mental health, as well as a range of working styles, the client requested McCoy Rockford’s help with both furniture acquisition and design consultation. We coordinated with architecture and design firm Gensler Austin to create a cohesive aesthetic.

The Solution

In addition to furnishings, McCoy Rockford selected accessories such as custom pillows, decorative accents and wall hooks. Biophilic elements — including hanging planters, wall gardens, potted plants and nature-inspired wall art — were selected to reflect the brand’s emphasis on making the world a better place through wholesome food that positively impacts the environment. The goal was to create an inspiring space to which employees would be excited to return after an extended work-from-home period.

The Results

From account management to service and installation, McCoy Rockford helped Whole Foods create a space that enriched employee wellbeing and embodied the brand’s values. The service department offered invaluable support throughout the ordering and specification process, ensuring products were ordered and installed correctly.

When supply chain issues arose, the McCoy Rockford team leveraged its relationships with vendors to problem solve and adapt. By negotiating with manufacturers, changing orders as necessary and keeping Whole Foods abreast of unexpected changes and delays, we put the client at ease and delivered exceptional results. It was a pleasure to assist Whole Foods in outfitting their headquarters.
