Industry Veteran Mike Luna Defines New Chapter for McCoy Rockford

McCoy Rockford is pleased to announce industry veteran Mike Luna as CEO. Drawing on decades of industry experience, Luna is steering McCoy Rockford into a new chapter defined by strategic growth, innovation and continued commitment to serving diverse markets.

A Houston native with deep roots in the commercial interiors industry, Luna brings leadership experience spanning construction, facilities management and, most recently, ownership of the Steelcase dealer Texas Wilson in San Antonio. Vince Foster, Bluestem Equity and Watt Matthews invested in Texas Wilson, purchasing the majority interest in 2024. He and the investment group then purchased McCoy Rockford in January 2025, and he continues to serve as the Chairman of the Board for both dealerships.

For Luna, the connection to McCoy Rockford is personal. His career in commercial interiors launched during a stint at the company during his high school years when he worked with the founder, Henry McCoy, before the company merged with Austin-based Rockford. In many ways, this feels like a full circle moment.

“From working here in high school to becoming a client during my tenure at Arthur Andersen to now serving as owner, chairman and CEO — the same role as my great friend and mentor — the opportunity to return to McCoy Rockford is deeply fulfilling,” said Luna.

His appointment at the helm of the company comes at a pivotal moment for the company as it evolves to meet the changing needs of modern workplaces and specialized environments.

Luna described this time as a moment of transformation for McCoy Rockford.

“We’re building with intention, investing in our people and creating an organization dedicated to the future,” he said. “Our employees can look forward to great leadership — a great place to do great work. [And our clients] can look forward to outstanding products and services as we continue to exceed expectations.”

In the coming months, Luna will work to combine the entities of Texas Wilson and McCoy Rockford, creating the largest commercial furniture dealership in the state of Texas — and one of Steelcase’s largest dealership partners in the nation. Not one for the spotlight, he celebrates his team of experienced executives who will draw on their tenure at Texas Wilson to help shape and grow the new, collaborative venture.

McCoy Rockford has long been recognized for its expertise in corporate interiors, but its capabilities extend far beyond the traditional office space. The company serves a wide range of markets, including healthcare, higher education, K-12 education, life sciences and government — each supported by dedicated specialists who understand the unique demands of their industries.

The breadth and depth of expertise is McCoy Rockford’s strength, allowing the firm to deliver tailored solutions and a true partnership approach to its clients. This mindset is central to McCoy Rockford’s value proposition. The company collaborates closely with architects, designers and end users to deliver comprehensive solutions — from furniture and architectural systems to flooring and consultative services — ensuring each space is functional, flexible and future-ready.

As part of its forward-looking strategy, McCoy Rockford is investing in a new 145,000-square-foot facility in Houston. Designed as a fully integrated, working showroom, the space will showcase the latest in workplace design while reflecting the evolving realities of hybrid work and changing organizational needs.

The new facility will serve as a fully functional working environment, Luna explained. Rather than just showcasing products, guests get to see how they operate in the real world.

“It’s not just a showroom,” he said. “Our customers are learning to do more with less, and our new facility will resonate with these customers as the evolution of the workplace is taking shape.”

Luna’s leadership philosophy centers on empowering teams and fostering a culture where people can do their best work.

“Great organizations are built by great people,” he said. “Our role as leaders is to put the right team in place, support them and give them the space to succeed.”

While the company has experienced recent leadership transitions, Luna views this period as an opportunity to reimagine and strengthen the organization for long-term success.

“The timing couldn’t be better,” he said. “We’re in a unique position to take a thoughtful, long-term view. My focus is on what this organization looks like in five to 10 years from now.”

Over the past several decades, McCoy Rockford has evolved alongside the industries it serves, refining its approach each time by expanding capabilities and embracing new ways of working. This new chapter serves as the next step in a storied legacy of evolution.

“Our commitment is simple,” Luna said. “We will continue to exceed expectations, deliver exceptional solutions and be a trusted partner for every client we serve.”
